Spreader endodontic instrument

Spreader endodontic instrument is a specialized dental instrument 

to compact and laterally condenses a material called gutta-percha that is used during root canal procedure to fill and seal the root canal. Gutta-percha is a rubber-like material that is heated and placed into the prepared root canal to fill the space and create a seal.

After the gutta-percha is placed, a spreader endodontic comes into use for compressing and condensing it to ensure that the material fills all the irregularities and small spaces in the root canal.
